WHO WE ARE

​Having responded to various hair care needs in local communities over several years, I knew that I needed to help in a larger way. In 2023, I created Knot Your Average Academy, as a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization in Florida. KYAA focuses on the specific hair care needs and education for adults and children. 

 

Our approach is to walk alongside individuals  and their families to support their unique hair care needs. We are creating a safe space for all to learn, regardless of their household dynamic.

We are dedicated to empowering families and boosting their confidence by providing mentorships, hair care trainings, and support.

 

Our program aspires to be the world’s leading organization in empowering individuals to feel confident inside and out, regardless of their background and circumstance.
